KLM looks to be making baby-steps. They launched Care-E (get it!) But looks only to be a concept prototype :(

This shows some potential too - TravelMate Robotics, for the individual. Might just have to do until the airports put in their own systems. Limitations are the battery re flight safety, and limited integration w air carrier services, and not really end-to-end logistics. Looks good for parents travelling w kids or anyone w mobility issues.
